It is a pleasure to invite you to the next TRANSIT Technical Webinar, that will be a virtual event that will take place during the morning of 19th of February from 10:00 to 12:00 CEST. the main results of the first year of work. TRANSIT partners will present in detail the last developments of work in TRANSIT project (TRAin pass-by Noise Source characterIsation and separation Tools for cost-effective vehicle certification) has been mainly focused in the following areas: 1. Creation of a validated procedure for source characterization based on equivalent monopoles and tests involving generic sources. 2. Development of the feasibility study of new concepts and approaches for controlling interior noise. 3. Review of the State of the art for the strategies for enhancing separation techniques as well as the strategies and requirements for new separation techniques. The noise source characterization and separation is in fact a process of understanding the sound sources in a better way. However, in practice, this is often not a simple procedure. With the current research developed in the TRANSIT project, there are some key fundamental conclusions related to the works listed above.
